to be examined touching his knowledge thereof,
how long such will hath been in his hands, by
whom the same was delivered to him, if by the
testator himself, or other, and by whom; and
if he verily believes that to be the last, or only
will and testament of the deceased: the answer
to which being satisfactory, he is to prove the
identity thereof, by taking the following oath,
which is to be entered at the foot of the
will, verbatim, viz.
Then came A. B. and made oath, &c. that the within
instrument of writing is the true, and whole
will and testament of B. C. late of ------
county deceased, that hath come to his hands or
possession; and that he doth not know of any
other.
