6 ADMINISTRATION.
" as the several county courts, who are hereby
" empowered and directed to take the same,
" shall approve of, payable to the lord proprietor,
" in the penalty of two hundred pounds
" sterling) for the due and just execution of his
" office; which bonds shall be lodged in the
" prerogative-office; and liable to be assigned
" and sued, as the sheriff's and other publick
" officers bonds are."

Their qualification. |
Every deputy commissary then, nominated
and appointed as aforesaid, having legally qualified
himself thereto, by taking the oaths to government,
and oath of office, and having entered
into bond and returned the same into the
prerogative-office, with the approbation of the
justices of the county court thereon endorsed,
proceeds (with a due regard to the laws in such
cases made and provided) to execute his office
in the following manner and form.

Within a convenient time after the death
of any person dying intestate, within his country,
it is his duty to call upon the next, and most
lawful friends of the deceased, to take out letters
of administration; if none such, or, on
being called upon, on their refusal, letters
may be granted to a creditor, or other person. |
