and gainsayed by a certain N. N. and
now is depending under litigation before our
commissary general and judge for probate of
wills, in our prerogative court; and whereas it
hath been represented to us, that there is great
danger of waste of the effects of the deceased,
for want of a due administration being granted;
to the end therefore that the goods, chattels,
and other effects of the deceased, being within
this province, may be secured, and duly preserved
to the use and behoof of the said D. E.
his legal representatives, and others, who have
a right and interest therein, we do therefore
hereby appoint and authorise you the aforesaid
A. B. during the contest aforesaid, to administer
on, secure and collect, all and singular the
effects of the said D. E. whether it be goods or
chattels, debts or credits, wheresoever the same
shall be found within this province, and to
make or cause to be made, a true and perfect
inventory thereof, to be by you exhibited into
the office for probate of wills and granting administrations,
at Annapolis, with all convenient
speed, and also to render unto our judge
for probate of wills &c for the time being, a
true and just account of your proceedings therein,
within twelve months, from the date of
these presents at farthest; and lastly we do hereby
constitute and appoint you the said A. B. administrator |
