The different manner of calculating the degrees,
may be better understood from the following
table, which I have taken from Burn,
because less intricate than Coke's, Hale's, Blackstone's,
or any other I have met with. The
numeral letters at the top, express the degrees
by the civil law, used in regard to personal estates;
and the figures at the bottom, express
the degrees by the canon law, used in regard to
lands. |
