GENERAL PROVISIONS

Article I, Section 6: oath by governor,
assemblymen and judges not to take the
profits of another office.
Article II, Section 15: The governor
may remove all "civil officers" he has ap-
pointed for a term of years.
Article III, Section 11 : no one holding
office of profit, or trust, except justice of
the peace, may be an assemblyman.

Article III, Section 17: no assembly-
man may occupy "any office" created
during his term.
Although the standards appear to be
definite, it is apparent upon examination
of the following list of the Court's deci-

that such determinations are made on a
case-by-case basis.
