Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy

Members: 5, appointed by the governor as follows: 3 certified public ac-
countants; 1 attorney; and 1 economist, selected from a list of 3
names submitted by the president of The Johns Hopkins Univer-
sity.

Term: For the certified public accountants, 3 years, staggered, for the
other 2, 2 years.

Removal: By the governor after notice and hearing.
Employees: 2 employees.

Function: To examine and register public accountants and public ac-
countancy partnerships certified to practice in Maryland.

Board of Osteopathic Examiners

Head: President elected by the Board.

Members: 5, appointed by the governor from a full list of members in good
standing of the Maryland Osteopathic Association.

Term: 3 years, staggered.

Removal: No statutory provision,

Function: To license osteopaths for practice in the State.
