Which was read and referred to Messrs. Maddox, Oompton
and Trail.

On motion of Mr, Tome, it was

Ordered, That when a bill is amended by the Senate, the
amendment shall be attached to the bill by some adhesive
material before it leaves the possession of the Clerk of the
Senate.

On motion of Mr. Maddox, it was

Ordered, That the late sitting Member from Allegany coun-
ty, be permitted to withdraw from the files of the Senate, the
record of the Court Martial of A. Spates, placed before the
Committee on Elections.

On motion of Mr. Stephenson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on, Judicial Proceed-
ings to repoxt a bill to make valid, the official acts of Justices
of the Peace, whose appointments as such, were made void by
a late decision of the Court of Appeals.

On motion of Mr. Stirling,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations, to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Maryland. Central Rail
Road.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported a bill
entitled an Act, to refund to L. T, Hyatt, certain sums of
money erroneously paid into the State Treasury;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Barle from the Committee on Finance, reported a bill,
entitled an Act, to compensate Ezekiel F. Chambers, for pro-
fessional services rendered the State;

Which was read the first time.

'Mr. Earle from the Committee on Finance, reported un-
favorably,on the petition of Henry H. Pfeiffer, to be refunded
money paid into the State Treasury;

Which was read, and
The report adopted.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably. House Resolutions, directing the Comptroller to ad-
just and settle the claims of Maryland soldiers;

Which wag read the second time.

Mr. Vickers from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill, entitled an Act, to repeal the
Act of 1862, chapter 106, and sections 104, to 200 inclusive,
of the 30th Article of the Code of Public General Laws, rela-
ting to the sentence of negroes;

Reported it without amendment,
