Mr. Mules from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Queenstown and Harrington Railway Company;

Reported it with the following amendment:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
To come in at the end of section 5:

"Provided, said by-laws do not conflict with the laws of
this State or of the United States;"

To come in at the end of section 7:

"Provided, said branch road or roads do not extend more
than ten miles in any direction from their main stem;"

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Mules from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate an insti-
tution in the city of Baltimore, to be called The Bank of Col-
lateral Deposits,

Reported it without amendment;

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Earle from the Committee on Finance, reported a bill
entitled, an Act to amend and re-enact sections 33, 37'and 38
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled, Revenues and
Taxes, and relating to the appointment of, and the bonds to
be given by the Collector of State Taxes;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Earle from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of-
money to pay the claims of B. C. Smith and others;

Reported it without amendment.

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to pay William Price a sum
of money,

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to refund a sum of money
paid into the State Treasury erroneously by John M. Bond,
of the 5th Election District of Baltimore county,

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which was
referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 58 of ar-
ticle 88 of Public General Laws, title Sheriffs, sub-title Fines
and Penalties, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
