Which was read the first time.

Mr. Stirling, from the. Committee on Corporations, reported
a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Contractor's Associ-
ation ;

Which was read the first time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the bill enti-
tled, an Act to assist the President and Managers of the
Maryland Disabled Soldiers' Home to procure a building suit-
able to an enlarged exercise of their charitable purposes ;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."
On motion of Mr. Vickers,

The Senate took up for consideration the bill entitled, an
Act to relieve and protect the operatives or laborers in the
cotton factories of Maryland ;

Mr. Vickers moved that said bill be made the order of the
day for Tuesday, the 19th inst., at 12 o'clock;

Mr. Earle submitted the following as an amendment:
Strike out "12 o'clock" and insert " 1 o'clock ;"
The question on the adoption of the amendment, was
Determined in the affirmative,

On motion by Mr. Young,

The Senate adjourned until Monday morning, at 11
o'clock.

MONDAY, March 18th, 1867.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was refered, the bill entitled, an Act to con-
firm the title of Worcester county, to the public read
leading from the village of Sandy Hill to Parkers Bay in said
county, and the wharf at said Bay;

Reported it without amendment,
The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act sup-
plementary to an Act passed February 6, 1866, chapter
