584 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 14,

A bill entitled, an Act to amend and re-enact section 3 of
article 98 of the Code of Public General Laws entitled, Wild
Fowl, so as to legalize the shooting from sink boats and
sneak boats by the residents of Hooper's Island, in Dorches-
ter county, over the waters adjacent thereto;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act entitled, an Act to
authorize Mrs. Margaret Sherwood, wife of Hugh Sherwood,
of Talbot county, to close a public road leading through her
lands in said county, passed at the January session of the
General Assembly of Maryland, 1864, chapter 323;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

And returned the following bills :

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Mutual Fire In-
surance Company of Somerset and Worcester counties;

Endorsed, "passed yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the town of Princess
Anne in Somerset county, Maryland;
Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act for the incorporation of Olive Branch
Lodgea number 104 of the Independent Order of Odd Fel-
lows;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Susquehanna Ho-
tel Company of Port Deposit;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize and empower the trus-
tees of the Union Church of Liberty Town, in Frederick co.,
to convey certain church property in said town, to Thomas
W. Wilson and others, trustees, of the Methodist Protest-
ant church in said town, and to incorporate said trustees;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money to
pay R. W. Clarke and Jas. H. Alvey, tax collectors of St.
Mary's county, for over payments into the treasury;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to restrict swine from running at
large in the 12th district in Baltimore county;

Endorsed, " passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the American Iron
Ship Building Mining and Manufacturing Company;

Endorsed ''passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Maryland Central
Railroad Company;
