WHEREAS, There have been a number of claims
for State bounty filed in the Office of the Comp-
troller by Military officers, some of whom have
been mastered oat of the United States service
and others have removed from this State and
are liable to be removed; and if the same
bounty claims were paid to said parties it would
be difficult, if not impossible for claimants to
obtain their money; therefore be it,
Resolved by the General assembly of Maryland,
That the Comptroller be, and he is hereby directed
not to recognize or pay any such claims for State
bounty to any military officer now in the United
States service or who has been discharged there-
from, unless said officer be an agent or attorney,
resident permanently in this State.
