stockholder shall be liable for any debts of the

Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and may
be altered, amended or repealed by the General
Assembly of Maryland at its pleasure.

AN ACT to establish another Court for the city
of Baltimore, as provided by the forty-first
section of the fourth Article of the Constitution. |
Preamble. |
WHEREAS, It is deemed proper and expedient
by this General Assembly to provide another Court
for the city of Baltimore; therefore, |
Court estab-
lished. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That there shall be and hereby is
provided and established another Court for the city
of Baltimore, which shall be styled the City Court
of Baltimore, to consist of one Judge, who shall
be elected in the same manner, be subject to the
same constitutional provisions, hold his office for
the same term of years and receive the same com-
pensation as the Judge of the Court of Common
Pleas of the said city. |
Jurisdiction. |
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said City
Court of Baltimore shall have concurrent jurisdic-
tion with the Court of Common Pleas of the city
of Baltimore in all civil cases and in cases of in-
solvency in said city of Baltimore, in cases of
habeas corpus, in all cases of appeals from Jus-
tices of the Peace in which the Court of Common
Pleas now has jurisdiction, and shall have con-
current jurisdiction in the trial of all criminal
cases with the Criminal Court of Baltimore when-
ever the said cases shall be removed from said
Criminal Court in compliance with the provisions
of this Act. |
