Election of
Commission-
ers.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That whenever, from
any cause the annual election for commissioners
does not take place as provided in the first section
of the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty, chapter
three hundred and eleven, it shall be lawful and
proper for the said commissioners of the town
aforesaid to appoint such other day or days for
such election of commissioners as they may think
proper, not exceeding sixty days after the first
named day.

In force.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage..

CHAPTER 347.

AN ACT entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Horse Thief Detective and Live Stock Insurance
Company of Buckeystown.

Incorporated
—power and
privileges.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General assem-
bly of Maryland, That James L. Davis, David T.
Jones, Charles S. Simmons, David Thomas, John
A. H. Cunningham, Daniel Baker, Grafton Du-
vall, John A. Trundle, William P. Suman, A.
Delashmutt, Richard Simmons, Nicholas Crom-
well, William G. Baker and their successors and
all other persons who may hereafter become mem-
bers of the Corporation to be created by this Act,
are hereby created and declared to be a body poli-
tic and corporate by the name, style and title of
the Buckeystown Mutual Horse Thief Detecting
and Stock Insurance Company, of Frederick coun-
ty, and by the same name shall have succession,
and shall be able to sue and be sued, implead and
be impleaded, answer and defend, and be answer-
ed and defended in all Courts of law, and equity
in this State or elsewhere; to have, make and use
a common seal, and the same to break, alter and
renew at their pleasure, and shall have full power
and authority to make insurances on horses, mules
