Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That if the bond here-
inbefore required should be filed within the ninety
days hereinbefore named, but subsequent to the
first day of January in any year, it shall, in ad-
dition to the provisions hereinbefore required, be
so conditioned as to make the obligors in such
bond responsible also for all official acts of said
sheriff, committed or done by him from the said
first day of January up to the date of the filing
of the said bond, as well as thereafter. |

Sec. 3. And be if further enacted, This Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |

AN ACT to authorize the trustees of the New
Town Academy, in Worcester county, to sell
their building and grounds and to invest pro-
ceeds of such sale in a building and grounds for
a high school in the town of New Town. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Trustees of the New
Town Academy, in Worcester county, be and the
same are hereby authorized and empowered to sell
and convey in fee simple to such person or persons
and for such consideration as they may deem
proper, all that lot of ground and buildings there-
on, known as the New Town Academy and
grounds, and invest proceeds of such sale in the
purchasing or building a high school in said
Town. |
