604 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Rawley, Samuel K. Dennis, Levin J. Feddeman,
William J. S. Clark and William A. Rawley, and
all and every other person or persons, who with
these or others in their stead who shall thereafter
become members of the Worcester Rail Road Com-
pany in the manner hereinafter mentioned, their
successors and assigns shall be, and are hereby
created and declared to be a body corporate and
politic by the name and style of the Worcester
Rail Road Company, and by that name shall and
may have perpetual succession and be capable in
law of purchasing, holding, improving and dis-
posing of property real, personal and mixed, for
the purposes hereinafter authorized, and may sue
and be sued, plead and be impleaded, and may
make, execute and deliver, or cause to be made,
executed, or delivered to them, all deeds, transfers,
gifts, grants, conveyances, covenants, contracts,
agreements and bargains whatsoever necessary for
the purposes and objects of said Company, and
may have and use a common seal, which they shall
have power to alter or renew at pleasure, and gene-
rally do every other act or thing necessary to carry
into effect the provisions and objects of this Act
not inconsistent with the laws of this State or the
United States.

Objects of in-
corporation.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the purposes
and objects for which the Worcester Rail Road
Company aforesaid is incorporated are the locating,
making, constructing and repairing a railroad
from some point on the Virginia State line to run
through Worcester County to the Delaware State
line, to connect with any road or roads running
into or through the counties of Accomac and
Northampton in the State of Virginia, and Sussex
County in the State of Delaware, the putting of
cars, machinery and motive power on the same for
the purpose of conveying freight and passengers
and charging tolls thereon, as hereinafter men-
tioned and intended, and the said Company shall
also have full power and authority to connect with
the Wicomico and Pocomoke Rail Road now autho-
rized by law to be constructed in said County of
Worcester at some convenient point on said last
mentioned road,
