Sec. 11. And be it enacted. That the stock of
the company may be assigned and transferred on
the books in person or by power of attorney, but
no stockholder indebted to the company shall be
permitted to transfer his or their stock, or to
receive any dividend until such debt is paid,
or secured to the satisfaction of the President and
Board of Directors. |

Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That nothing herein
contained shall be construed as to confer banking
privileges on said company to issue any note,
token, scrip, device or any other evidence of debt
to be used as currency. |

take effect from the date of. its passage, continue
and be in force until the year eighteen hundred
and eighty-seven, and until the end of the session
of the General Assembly next thereafter. |

AN ACT to add a new Article to the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, to be entitled. Public Roads
in Caroline County and Talbot County. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the County Commissioners
of Caroline and Talbot Counties, shall have power
to subdivide each or any of the Election Districts
of said county into Road Districts, and to appoint a
Supervisor for each of the said Road Districts. |
