under the first section of said article eighty-two,
shall be prosecuted within the period of five years
from the time of such cause accruing, and not after;
and all causes under the first section hereafter ac-
cruing shall be prosecuted within the period of
three years from the time of accruel of the same. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect and be in force from the date of its pas-
sage. |

AN ACT entitled, an Act to incorporate the Sas-
safras River Steamboat Company. |
Incorporated. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Andrew Woodall, Alex-
ander Wilson, John F. Wilson, Thomas J. Shall-
cross and Isaac Parsons, of Kent county, their
associates, successors and assigns be and they are
hereby created a corporation and body politic, by
the name and style of the Sassafras River Steam-
boat Company, and by that name may have per-
petual succession, and shall be able and capable in
law to sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded,
answer and be answered in any Court of law or
equity, and to make and use a common seal, and
to do and perform all such other acts in relation
to their business hereinafter declared, and to estab-
lish such by-laws and regulations as shall be ne-
cessary for conducting their affairs not inconsist-
ent with the laws of this State or of the United
States. |
Objects of
Corporation. |
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the objects of
said corporation are a steam passenger and freight
company, the bringing or building of steamboats,
and such other articles as may aid in carrying on
the said business in all its brandies, and for which
purpose they are authorized to rent, purchase and
hold all necessary wharves, buildings, materials, |
