CHAPTER 246.

AN ACT to repeal Section sixty-eight of Article
twenty-six, of the Code of Public General Laws)
title "Corporations," and re-enact the same with
amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Section sixty-eight of Article
twenty-six of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Corporations," be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

68. The provisions of this Article from Section
forty to Section sixty-seven, both inclusive, shall
extend and be applicable to all cases where five
or more persons, some of whom are citizens of this
State, may desire to form a Company for the pur-
pose of carrying on any kind of Mining business,
provided, that no Company incorporated under this
Section, shall hold more than five thousand acres
of land at any one time; and the capital stock of
such Company shall not exceed the sum of two

well as money may be considered as payment in
