Objects of
corporation. |
Sec. 7. And be it enacted, That the objects for
which this Company is incorporated are and are
hereby declared to be, to purchase, hold, use, im-
prove or sell and dispose of lands, tenements,
rights, water privileges and easements of every
description in the counties of the State of Mary-
land, or on any of the waters or water courses
thereof, as the same are now and may by indivi-
duals be now bought, sold, held used or improved
as the case may be under the law now in force in
this State. |
Increase of
Stock. |
Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That if the capital
stock of said Company shall be deemed insufficient
the President and Directors thereof, or a majority
of them may from time to time, increase the capi-
tal stock to any amount not exceeding five hun-
dred thousand dollars, for which increased stock
they may at their option either cause subscriptions
to be received in such manner as they may pre-
scribe or may sell the same for the benefit of the
Company. |

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and the
General Assembly reserves to itself the right to
alter, amend or repeal this Act at pleasure. |

cords, indexes, dockets and papers destroyed or
injured by fire in the office of the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Baltimore county. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That George H. Carman be and
he is hereby appointed a Commissioner of Records
for the purpose of restoring and re-establishing
such of the records, indexes, dockets and papers
in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court for |
