AN ACT to give the consent of the Legislature
to a deed conveying certain real estate in Washington
county to certain parties, for the use of
the German Reformed Church of the town of
Clear Spring in said county. |
Preamble. |
WHEREAS, Sarah Troup, late of Washington
county, did by deed dated the twenty-fourth day
of June, the year eighteen hundred and sixty-two,
convey to James R. Cushman, John Cook, Benja-
min Lutz, Henry Schwaringer and Stephen K.
Kroh a certain lot of land in said county, therein
described, for the use of the German Reformed
Church of Clear Spring; now therefore) |
Assent of the
Legislature
granted. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the assent and sanction of the
Legislature is hereby granted to said conveyance
named in the preamble to this Act, and the said
parties therein named, together with the officiating
minister of said church and their successors in
office forever, shall be entitled to hold the said
property for the use of said church, in the same
manner as if they had been incorporated at the
date of said deed. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |
