AN ACT to compensate Ezekiel F. Chambers for
professional services rendered the State, and
to pay the Governor for expenses attending the
reception of the President of the United States
on the fifteenth day of September, eighteen
hundred and sixty-six, by the appointment of
Governor Hicks, in the prosecution of a case in
the year eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, un-
der the Grain Inspection Laws of this State, in
the Superior Court of the city of Baltimore and
in the successful prosecution of the same case
in the year eighteen hundred and fifty-nine, in
the Court of Appeals. |
Treasurer to
pay upon war-
rant. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury be and he is hereby directed to issue his war-
rant to the Treasurer to pay to the order of George
W. T. Perkins, executor of Ezekiel F. Chambers,
the sum of five hundred dollars for professional
services rendered the State by appointment of Gov-
ernor Hicks, in the case of William Frazier, in-
spector General of Grain, vs. H. W. Warfield,
and to the Governor the sum of fourteen hundred
and seventeen dollars, to pay the expenses attend-
ing the reception of the President of the United
States, on the fifteenth of September, eighteen
hundred and sixty-six. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That tins Act shall
take effect from the day of its passage. |
