hundred and sixty-five, chapter thirty-three, en-
titled an Act to provide bounty for soldiers enter-
the service of the United States, to fill the quota
of Maryland under the call of the President of the
United States, of December, eighteen hundred and
sixty-four, and under future calls, relating to the
defence loan not exceeding four millions of dollars,
and to levy a special tax of ten cents on every
hundred dollars, be and the same are hereby sev-
erally repealed. |

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller
be authorized and required to examine into and
adjust all the unpaid bounties under the said Act of
Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chap-
ter fifteen, entitled an Act to aid and encourage en-
listments into the Maryland regiments in service of
the United States,' ' and the said Act of Assembly of
eighteen hundred and sixty-five, chapter thirty-
three, entitled, an Act to provide bounty for sol-
diers entering the service of the United States to
fill the quotas of Maryland under the call of the
President of the United States, of December,
eighteen hundred and sixty-four and under future
calls, and to issue his warrants to the Treasurer
to be payed the same out of any unappropriated
funds in the Treasury. |

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller
shall from time to time issue his warrant to the
Treasurer to pay out of any moneys in the Treas-
ury for such sums as may be necessary to pay ac-
cruing and future interest on the bonds of the
State which was issued under the said Acts of
eighteen hundred and sixty-four, chapter fifteen,
and eighteen hundred and sixty-five, chapter
thirty-three, hereinbefore referred to. |

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the day of its passage. |
