at January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
seven, entitled, " An Act to incorporate the Ches-
ter River Steamboat Company," be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows :

Commission-
ers appointed.

Section 5. That the said Thomas D. G. Ruth,
George B. Westcott, William McKinney and
John C. Ruth, or any two of them, be and they
are hereby appointed commissioners to receive
subscriptions and payments for the shares of the
capital stock of the said corporation, and so soon
as one hundred and thirty shares shall have been
subscribed for, and three-fourths of said subscrip-
tions shall have been paid in, the said corporation
may commence business, and the said commis-
sioners, Thomas D. C. Ruth. George B. West-
cott, William McKinney and John G. Ruth, shall
act as directors of the said Company, with George
B. Westcott as President, for the space of four
months, when a general election shall be called,

Proviso.

for the selection of directors for twelve months
from date of said day of election; provided, it does
not come on Sunday, in which case it will take
place on the day following, agreeably to the pro-
visions of this Act, and until the regular appoint-
ment of Treasurer of the company, the President
shall act as Treasurer.

In force.

Sec. -. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take place and be in force from the date of its
passage.
