CHAPTER 23. |

Entitled AN ACT for the relief of the Grand
Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons of
Maryland. |
Exempt from
taxation. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That a lot of ground in the city of
Baltimore, not exceeding one hundred and twenty
by one hundred and fifty feet, together with the
buildings thereon, and the stock issued by the
Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted
Masons, for aiding in the erection of a new Mason-
ic Temple, be and is hereby exempted from taxa-
tion, as a benevolent and charitable institution, so
long as the said Temple shall be held and used by
the aforesaid Grand Lodge, for its own use and
purposes, as set forth in its Act of Incorporation. |
In force. |
Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect and be in force from the date of its pas-
sage. |

to the thirtieth Article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, entitled Grimes and Punishments,"
relating to Funerals. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That two Sections be added to the
thirtieth Article of the Code of Public General
Laws, relating to Crimes and Punishments, .as
follows: |
Exempt from
tolls. |
Sec. 206. No Turnpike, Bridge or Ferry Com-
pany, and no proprietors of any Torn pike or other
Road, Bridge or Ferry, shall hereafter collect any |
