AN ACT to repeal the seventy-fourth section of
the thirty-fifth Article of the Code of Public
General Laws, relating to the Election of United
States Senator, by inserting in third line after
the words "Senator" the following words, And
to enact another provision in lieu thereof." |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the seventy-fourth section
of the thirty-fifth Article of the Code of Public
General Laws, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That in the first Elec-
tion of Senator to represent this State in the Senate
of the United States, which shall be held after the
first day of April, in the year eighteen hundred
and sixty-seven, the person elected shall be an in-
habitant of the Eastern Shore of this State, and one
of the Senators to be thereafter elected, shall
always be an inhabitant of the Eastern Shore,
and the other of the Western Shore of this State. |

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |

John Wesley Pitcock to John Wesley Baker. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the name of John Wesley
Pitcock of Baltimore city, he and the same is here
by changed to John Wesley Baker. |
