Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The bill entitled, an Act to legalize the acts of George W.
Ritter, a Justice of the Peace of Baltimore county, done by
him in the city of Baltimore, as such Justice,

Being under consideration.

Mr. Waters submitted the following amendment:

Amend by adding to section 1, as follows:

"Provided, however, that nothing in this Act contained,
shall apply to any act of said Ritter, the validity of which
may be involved or questioned in any suit now pending in any
Court of law or equity, of this State;"

Which was read and adopted.

The bill was then read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the American Iron
Ship Building Mining and Manufacturing Company ;

Being under consideration.
Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment:
Add at the end of the 8th section the words "at pleasure."
Which was read and adopted.
Mr. Tome submitted the following amendment:
Amend title by adding "Baltimore city," 7th line of sec-
tion 7, insert "Baltimore city,"
On motion by Mr. Frazier,
Said bill was ordered to be printed.
The President of the Senate submitted the following :

I have to request the consent of the Senate to the appoint-
ing a committee of this body, whose duty it shall be to inves-
tigate certain charges referred to in my brief address, this
morning, to wit:
