Company have caused this contract to be signed and sealed
with the seal of the said company and the said parties of
the second part have hereunto set their hands and seals
the date hereinbefore first written.

Resolved by the President and Board of Directors of the Bal-
timore and Potomac Railroad Company, That the contract
this day exhibited to the Board with John W. Forney, Clin-
ton Lloyd, John B. Clark, Jr., Martin H. Cassell, Gideon L.
Walker and Joseph W. Parish, be executed according to the
terms therein stated for the construction and equipment of the
Baltimore and Potomac Railroad, with a lateral branch to the
line of the District of Columbia.
August 7, 1866.
Resolved by the President and Board of Directors of the
Baltimore and Potomac Railroad, Company, That the capital
stock of said company be, and the same is hereby, increased to
the sum of three millions of dollars, for the purpose of complet-
ing the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad, with lateral branch
to the District of Columbia.
