BALTIMORE CITY.

OFFICE CLEEK OF COURT OF COMMON PLEAS,

BALTIMORE, January 22nd, 1866.

To the Honorable the Members

of the House of Delegates:

GENTLEMEN:—In reply to the order passed by your Honor-
able Body on the 18th instant, calling upon the Clerks of the
various Courts of the State to report the number of days of
each term of the said Courts, between the first day of Janu-
ary and the thirty-first day of December, 1866, inclusive, the
respective Judges of said Courts hare held sessions thereof
or transacted business therein; I most respectfully report,
that the Court of Common Pleas was in session as shown by
the record, every day, except holidays, and a vacation of six
weeks in July and August, and that said vacation was caused
by reason of repairs and improvements made upon the room
occupied by the Court; and that the Hon. John C. King has
alone, sat upon the bench of said Court during said period.
