REPORT:
The Select Committee to whom was referred the Memorial
of John de la Camp, Civil Engineer, relating to the Maps
and Survey of the boundary line between Maryland and Vir-
ginia, beg to report.
Having maturely considered the Memorial, the several Acts
of the General Assembly, relating thereto, and examined the
Maps authorized by the Commissioners of the States of Mary-
land and Virginia, viz: Thos. J. Lee and Angus. W. Mc-
Donald, Esqrs.; as also the estimated cost of the completion of
said Maps, and as also that of one general Map, embracing
the whole survey of both lines, believe the granting of the
prayer of the Memorialist will prove of the greatest import-
ance to the interests of the State, and therefore recommend
the adoption of the following order.
Respectfully submitted:
Ordered, That the Committee on Ways and Means have
leave to report a Bill to appropriate the sum of $2,000.00,
say two thousand dollars, to be paid to John de la Camp,
Civil Engineer, as compensation for the execution of the Maps
herein referred to.
