Mr. Nicolai moved a reconsideration of the vote by which
the bill entitled an Act to authorize the Board of Public
Works to vote the stock of the State in the Chesapeake and
Ohio Canal Company for a President and four Directors upon
the nomination of the holders of the preferred bonds of said
company was passed;
Which was decided in the negative.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the bill entitled, an
Act to incorporate the Franklin Manufacturing Company of
Wetheredsville.
Also, the bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claims of Wheelwright, Mudge &-Co.
Also, a bill entitled an Act to repeal the 107th section of
Article 1 of the Code of Public General Laws of Alle-
gany county, relating to the Superintendent of the National
road.
Also, the bill entitled, an Act to repeal the 4th section
of the 43d Article of the Code of Public General Laws, re-
lating to habeas corpus, and to re-enact the following section
in lieu thereof.
Also, the bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act to author-
ize Mrs. Margaret Sherwood, wife of Hugh Sherwood, of
Talbot county, to close a public road running through her
lands in said county, passed the January session of the Gen-
eral Assembly, 1864, chapter 323.
Also, the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Annapo-
lis Fruit and Oyster Packing Company.
Also, the bill entitled, an Act to amend and re-enact sec-
tion 25 of Article 13 of Public Local Laws for Howard county,
relating to Justices of the Peace and Constables.
Also, the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate Oak Spring
Lodge, 109, of the Independent Order of Good Templars,
Hagerstown, Washington county, Maryland.
Also, a bill entitled, an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners of Queen-Anne's county to subscribe in behalf of
said county to the capital stock of the Queen Anne's and Kent
County Railroad Company, and to repeal chapter 165 of the
Laws passed at January session, 1866.
Also, a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Hagerstown
Water Company.
Also, the bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act passed at
January session 1854, chapter 258, entitled, an Act to incor-
porate a bank by the name and style of the "Farmers and
Merchants Bank of Greensborough."
Also, the bill entitled, an Act to. continue in force an Act
to regulate and make uniform the fees of Constables, passed
January session, 1865, chapter 67.
