pany, and to provide for the payment of the State subscrip-
tion for stock in said Company, and to waive the State lien;

and Sassafras Wharf Company, at Crew's landing, in Kent
county, on Sassafras river;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to authorize and empower the
County Commissioners of Kent county to subscribe in behalf
of said county to the capital stock of the Kent County Rail-
road Company, to issue bonds for the same, and to provide
for their redemption;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Kent
and Queen Anne's delegations.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Commissioners
of Charles county to refund to the heirs of W. H. Williams
taxes paid in error;

Which wag read a first time and referred to Committee on
Claims.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to empower and authorize the
County Commissioners of Kent county to erect an almshouse
in said county, and to provide for the payment of the same;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Kent and
Caroline delegations.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act for the repayment out of the
storage and outage on tobacco, of moneys heretofore de-
manded and received by the inspectors of tobacco, in viola-
tion of the Acts of 1864, chapter 346, and 1865, chapter 194;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Select
Committee on Tobacco Warehouses.

Also, a bill entitled, a supplement to an Act passed Janu-
ary session, 1860, chapter 303, entitled, an Act to carry into
effect the eighth section of the Act entitled, an Act for the pro-
motion of internal improvements, passed at December ses-
sion, 1865;

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Internal Improvements.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate one hundred
thousand dollars for the relief of destitute people in States
wasted by civil war;

Which was read a first time and referred to Committee on
Internal Improvements.

Also, the resolution relating to the appointment of a Com-
missioner to the Paris Exhibition;
