Mr. Baker (the rules being suspended) presented the po-
tion of David Thomas, and 28 other citizens of Frederick
county praying this House to reconsider the vote by which it
passed the bill prohibiting fishing with seine in the Monocacy
and its tributaries,

Which was read and referred to the Frederick county dele-
gation.

Mr. Calvert (the rules being further suspended) presented
the petion of Benedict Brown and fifty-two citizens of
' Prince George's county against the passage of a bill to abolish
gateson public highways,

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Roads
and Highways.

On motion of Mr. Jump,

The rules being suspended,

The Senate bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of
money for services rendered the State by Luther H. Gadd in
the adjustment and payment of claims for bounty to volunteers
under the Acts of 1864 providing for the payment of bounty
to volunteers,

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
low :
