of Mr. Jones, passed by the House to day, relating to the
Executive;

BY THE SENATE, Mar. 1, 1867.
Gentlemen of (he House of Delegates :
We cordially concur in the action of your Hon. Body, which
expresses high appreciation of the course of Gov. Swann, in
his determination to decline the United States Senatorship,
and continue in the elevated position, he fills with such ad-
vantage to the State; and in your request for the appointment
of a Joint Committee to wait on his Excellency and present
the Joint Resolutions of the two bodies. We appoint Senator
Earle on the part of the Senate.
