The Secretary of the Senate, returned the bill entitled, a
supplement to an Act, passed at January sesssion, 1856,
chapter 109, to amend an Act, entitled, an Act to incorporate
the Fremont Savings Institution of Baltimore, by allowing
said institution the privileges embraced under the Act enti-
tled an Act to continue the corporate existence of the several
banking institutions therein mentioned, passed at the Janu-
ary session, 1853, chapter 44.
Also, the bill enlitled an Act to amend an Act passed by
the General Assembly of Maryland, January session, 1866,
entitled, an Act to incorporate the Maryland Land and Emi-
gration Company;
Severally endorsed, passed by yeas and nays.
Also, delivered the bill entitled, an Act to prohibit the
granting of licenses for the sale of spirituous liquors or lager
beer, at or near Fallston in Harford county;
Which was read a first time and referred to the Harford
delegation.
Mr. Nicolai, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably a bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Trustees of
Wesley Chapel Episcopal Methodist Church, at Reisterstown,
Baltimore county;
Mr. Lindsey, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to abandon and close the road at Gil-
pin's Ford in Cecil county.
Mr. Whitaker, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to amend and re-enact sections 181 and
187 of Article 8 of Public Local Laws for Cecil county, relat-
ing to dogs, so as to read as follows.
Also, reported favorably a bill entitled, an act to add new
sections to chapter 151 of the Acts of 1862, entitled, an Act
to incorporate the President and Commissioners of the village
of Rising Sun, Cecil county;
Mr. Magruder, from a Select Committee, reported favorably
a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 56 of article 16 of the
Code of Publie Local Laws, entitled, Prince George's county,
and to re-enact the same with an amendment.
Mr. Welch, from a Select Committee, reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Chestertown Reading
Room and Library Association;
Which were severally read a first time time.
Mr. Nicolai, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably Senate bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the
Equitable Gas Light Company of Baltimore city;
Which was read the second time.
