Whereas, This House having learned that a committee of
five hundred citizens of the city of Baltimore, appointed at a
public meeting held in said city, will visit the General As-
sembly on the 26th instant, for the purpose of presenting
memorials to said General Assembly on subjects of vital im-
portance to both the city and State; and
Whereas, It is of the utmost importance that the object
of their visit and the purposes of their memorial shall be
