county, and to re-enact the same with amendments;

Was read a second time, and ordered to be engrotted for
a third reading.

The bill entitled, an Act to declare the sanction of the
General Assembly of Maryland to the bequests of Rhoda
Henry, deceased, to the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal
Church, in the village of Jefferson, in the county of Fred-
erick.

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Frederick Li-
brary Association of Frederick city.

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act, passed at Jan-
uary session, 1854; chapter 258, entitled, an Act to incorpo-
rate a bank of the name and style of the Farmer's and Mer-
chant's Bank of Greensborough;

Were severally read a second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading. .

to incorporate the Charles Street Avenue Company;

Being upon its second reading,

Mr. Boswell proposed to amend by striking out the word
"three," in 3d line 3d section and insert "one;
