The following members responded to their names:

Messrs, Miller, Speaker, Morgan, Welch, Williams, Clarke,
Cameron, Ford, Shipley, Nicolai, Davis, of Charles, Thomas,
Jump, Jones, Dennis, Phelps, Kerr; Whitaker, Lindsey,
Calvert, Rouzer, Baker, Linthicum, Gorsuch, Steiner, Bam-
ford, Tobey, Hoffhine, Bishop, Hutton, Burche, Turner,
Coleman, Neilson, Smith, Israel, Knott, Lankford, Stevens,
Kraft, Boewell, Thomson, Davis, of Baltimore city, Walte-
meyer, Feig, Bixler, Pitts, Aydelott, Gordy, Nelson, White-
ford, Wilson, Spicer, McCulley, Bruce, McCulloh, Brydon,
Carmichael, Neale, Benton, Watnpler, Gore, Dawson, King,
Hammond—64.

Upon the call of the roll;
On motion of Mr. Clarke,

All further .proceedings under the call were dispensed
with.

The question then recurring upon the motion to reconsider
the vote upon the order of Mr. Jump,
It was sustained.

The question then recurring upon the adoption of the
order offered by Mr. Jump;

Pending the consideration of which,

The hour having arrived for taking up the order of the day,

Mr. Jones moved to postpone the consideration of the order
of the day;

Mr. Neilson moved to "postpone it for halt an hour-;

Mr. Jones moved the previous question ;

Which was sustained.

The question then being,

" Shall the previous, question be now put ?"

It was sustained.

The question then recurring upon the motion to postpone,
It was concurred in ;

And the consideration of the order of the day being, the
bill entitled, an Act to create a Board of Commissioners to
keep open the harbor of Baltimore and the access thereto
from obstruction by ice, and for river and harbor relief;

Was postponed for thirty minutes.

The question then recurred upon the adoption of the order;

Pending the consideration of which,

Mr. Davis of Baltimore city, moved the previous question;
Which was sustained.
