Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Henkle, from the Select Committee, reported a bill
entitled, an Act for the protection of the public against medi-
cal impostors, and for the suppression of the crime of unlaw-
ful abortion ;

Which was read the first time, and
Ordered to be printed.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates delivered the bill en-
titled, an Act to add certain sections to the Code of Public
Local Laws, Article four, relating to the weighing of live
stock by the Inspector of Hay and Straw at the eastern hay
scales of the city of Baltimore,

Was read the first time, and

On motion by Mr. Stephenson,
Referred to the Committee on Agriculture.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 460 of the 4th Ar-
ticle of the Code of Public Local Laws, and re-enact the same
with an amendment;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to appropriate the sum of twenty-
five hundred dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary
to the re-building of the hay scales in the city of Baltimore ;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
teg on Finance.

On motion by Mr. Stirling,

The Senate took up for consideration, the bill entitled, an
Act to incorporate the Equitable Gas Light Company of Bal-
timore city;

The bill was then read the third time, and passed by yeas
and nays as follow :
