Mr. Gore, from Select Committee, (the rules being sus-
pended) reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act t o refund
to Sarah Mathias of Carroll county, a sum of money errone-
ously paid into the State Treasury;
Which was read a first time.
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,
The House took up for consideration the bill entitled, an
Act to repeal Article 63 of the Code of Public General Laws,
relating to militia, and sections 652 to 770, both inclusive, of
Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to mili-
tia in the city of Baltimore, and to re-enact said Article 63
with amendments;
Said bill being upon its third reading,
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,
The rules were suspended,
And the vote by which the bill had been ordered to a third
reading,
Was reconsidered.
The bill being then upon its second reading;
On motion of Mr. Nicolai,
The vote by which the amendment which had been pro-
posed by him was adopted,
Was reconsidered;
