Which was read.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following House
bill:

A bill entitled, an Act authorizing the payment of the sal-
ary of the Hon. Silas Morris Cochran, late Associate Justice
of the Court of Appeals of Maryland, for the quarter ending
December 31st, 1886.

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Nicolai from the Committee on Corporations reported
favorably a bill entitled, a supplement to an Act entitled, an
Act to incorporate the Peabody Institute of the City of Bal-
timore, passed on the ninth day of March, 1858, chapter 209.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act, to incorporate the Baltimore
Ice Company;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Phelps from a Select Committee reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to extend the time allowed the citizens
of East New Market in Dorchester eaonty, under the Act
of 1860, chapter 311, to organize their incorporation by the
election of officers;

Which was read, the first time.

Mr. Parsons from a Select Committee reported favorably a
bill entitled,an Act to Incorporate Newton Lodge No. 56, of
the Independent Order of Odd Fellows at Salisbury, Somer-
set county, Maryland.

Also favorably, a bill entitled, an Act to add a new Arti-
cle to the Code of Public General Laws to be entitled, "Pub-
lic Roads;"

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Aydelott from a Select Committee reported favorably a
bill entitled, an Act to add a new section to Article 22, of the
Code of Public Local Laws to come in after the 95th section;

Which was read the first time.

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Principio Man-
ufacturing Company;

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
