The resolutions were then sent to the Senate.

The joint resolutions authorizing the Governor to appoint
two commissioners to represent the State of Maryland in the
international exposition of 1867 in the city of Paris,

Being upon their second reading,

On motion of Mr. Stevens,
Were laid over informally.

The bill entitled, an Act to add two additional sections to
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled crimes and pun-
ishments relating to funerals :

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Good Intent
Lodge No. 99, Independent Order of Odd Fellows;

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Tyson Manu-
facturing Company ;

The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
Chrome Works;

Were severally read a first time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

On motion of Mr. Thomas,

(Two thirds of all the members being present and voting,)
the rules were suspended and the House took up for considera-
tion the bill entitled, an Act to repeal an Act passed at the
January session of the General Assembly in the year 1867,
entitled, "an Act to repeal the 4th, 7th, 15th, 16th and 20th
sections of the 4th Article of the Public Local Laws of the
city of Baltimore, relating to the qualification of electors in
said city, and regulating the time for holding elections for
Mayor and members of the City Council, and the terms of,
and the time for entering upon the duties of said offices, and
to re-enact the same with amendments,

Said bill being upon its third reading,

The bill was then a read a third time.
On motion of Mr. Thomas,

A call of the House was ordered.
