Mr. Davis, of Charles, proposed the following :

Amend section 10th, after the word "that" in the first line

insert the words " no clergyman, minister of the Gospel, or

preacher of any denomination,"

Which was adopted.

Mr. Magraw moved to strike out section 10 ;

Mr. Smith submitted the following amendment:

In third line, same section, strike out after the word
"Pleas" the word "or," insert after "Criminal" the
words " Courts or Orphans' Courts ;"
