in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and sixty-six.

I hereby certify, that J. M. Strong, Esquire, before whom
the annexed affidavits were made, and whose genuine signa-
ture thereto appears, was, at the date thereof, a Justice of
the Peace in and for the State and county aforesaid, duly
commissioned and sworn, and authorized by law to adminis-
ter oaths and take acknowledgments.

In testimony whereof, I hereunto subscribe my
[SEAL.] name and affix the seal of the Circuit Court for Al-
legany county, this 31st day of December, 1866

the faithful performance of that duty before the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Allegany county ?

office. Did you act as Return Judge for that district; if you
did, did you and your fellow Judges make return of the number
of votes cast for each and every one voted for; and did you,
as the Return Judge, make a true return of said election ?

Interrogatory 2. Did you return by your return, any num-
ber of votes cast for Senator for C. H. Ohr or A. Spates; if
yea, will you point out in your return what votes were cast
for C H. Ohr, and how many were cast for A. Spates ?
