COUNTY SEAT—FREDERICK.

Origin of Name—After Frederick, heir apparent.
Date of Formation—1748. Area—662 square miles. Population—

52,673 (1910).
Court Terms—Jury, first Monday in February and September and

second Monday in December. Non-jury, second Monday in May.
Orphans' Court Days—Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in each

week and daily daring sittings of Court.
