The Conservation Commission appoints ninen General Measurers and
Inspectors of Oysters, and not exceeding twenty Special Inspectors, which
later shall hold office during the oyster season only.
It is the duty of the General Measurers and Inspectors of Oysters to
see that the laws in reference to the inspection of oysters be strictly com-
plied with by all of the district inspectors, and have authority at all
times to enter all places and vessels where oysters are being measured
and inspected in the shell and inspect all the measures and instruments
used in measuring oysters and see that the inspection laws are strictly
enforced and whether or not the measures are correct and if found in-
correct to prosecute the offenders.

for two, one for four, and one for six years; and, as these terms expire,

This Board has the supervision of railroads, steam and electric, com-
mon carriers in general, gas corporations, electrical corporations, tele-
phone companies, telegraph companies, water companies, steam heating
and refrigerating companies, express companies, sleeping car companies,
steamship, steamboat, motorboat and sailing boat companies and automo-
bile bus companies doing business as common carriers, provided any of
the aforementioned companies are doing business within the State of
Maryland. Its supervision and jurisdiction covers the service furnished,
the rates charged, capitalization, issue of stocks and bonds, the right to
