STATE MEDICAL EXAMINERS.
The practice of medicine in Maryland, is regulated by two Boards of
State Medical Examiners; one,, representing the Medical and Chirurgical
Faculty consists of seven members appointed by the Medical and Chir-
urgical Faculty of Maryland; and the other, representing the Maryland
State Homeopathic Society, consists of seven members appointed by
that Society.

STATE HORTICULTURAL DEPARTMENT— College Park, Maryland.
Chapter 289 of the Acts of 1898, creates a State Horticultural Depart-
ment, which consists of a State Entomologist, State Pathologist and
State Horticulturist, who shall be respectively, the professor of Ento-
mology, the professor of Vegetable Pathology and the professor of Hor-
ticulture of the Maryland Agricultural College. All elected by the
Trustees of the Maryland Agricultural College.
