That Senate bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Gov-
ernor, Comptroller, and Treasurer to exchange or sell the
Bank Stock belonging to or standing to the credit of the sev-
eral counties of the State, for the Free Schools or other schools,
and to invest the proceeds thereof;
Was taken up for consideration on its third reading.
The bill having been read the third time, was passed by

Mr. Soper submitted the following amendment:
Amend the title so as to read—"A bill entitled, an Act to
authorize the Governor, Comptroller and Treasurer to dis-
pose of all the Bank; Stocks held by the State, and to invest
the proceeds therof as therein directed;"
Which was adopted.
Said bill was then returned to the Senate.
The Senate bill entitled, an Act to repeal the 43rd and
44th sections of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws
for Caroline county, relating to the Circuit, Court for said
county and to re-enact the same with amendments thereto;
Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
