The bill entitled, an Act to provide additional revenue for
the State of Maryland, and to create funda lior certain pur-
poses;
Was taken up for consideration on its second reading;
Mr. Miller, of Anne Arundel, moved to lay the bill over
informally;
Decided in the negative,
Mr. Williams moved to refer the bill to £he committee on
Oysters;
Decided ia the negative.
Mr. Miller, of Anne Arundel, submitted the following
amendment;
Amend section one, line two, by striking out the word.
*'five" and inserting the word. "three,"
The question being on the adoption of the amendment;
