On motion of Mr. Darling, The rules were suspended, the bill by special order read the second and third times, and passed by yeas and nays as follow:
The said bill was then sent to the Senate. The bill entitled, an Act to amend the Charter of the Charles Street. Avenue Company, and to authorise the con- struction of a Passenger Railway on said road, was taken up for consideration on its second reading. On motion of Mr. King, The said bill was laid over informally. The bill entitled, an Act to prohibit the issuing of any license for the sale of spirituous or fermented liquors within three miles of either of the churches in Mechanicstown, Fred- erick county; Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. The bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 38 of article 28 of the Code of Public General Laws of the State, and to re- enact the same with amendments; Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading. |
