32 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Jan. 17, Resolved, that the Comptroller of the Treasury, be, and he is hereby directed to draw his warrant on the Treasurer for the amount of expenses incurred in this proceeding, which may be certified to him by the Governor. Resolved, That the Court of Appeals be requested to give the case thus brought before them an immediate hearing, Which were read the first time; and, On motion of Mr. Ohr, Were read the second time; and, Ordered to lie engrossed for'a third reading, and read the third time, by special order, and passed by yeas and nays, as follow : AFFIRMATIVE.
Said Resolutions were then sent to the House of Delegates. Mr. Frazier, from the committee on Corporations, reported bill to incorporate the Maryland Military Institute; Which was. read. the first time. Also, reported the bill amending the Charter of the Balti- more Fire Insurance Company, with the following amemd- ment: Strike out the whole of section 11, and substitute therefor the following: Section 11. And be it, enacted, That the General Assembly reserves to itself the right to alter, amend, or repeal this Act at pleasure; Which was read and adopted, and the bill was read. the second time. Also, reported, a bill incorporating the Baltimore Fuel Company; . Which was read the first time, and, |
